Lead Teacher at San Quentin State Prison

I develop and manage all training program logistics at San Quentin State Prison, including curriculum for weekly training sessions that culminate in a certificate of proficiency for participants.

Adjunct Professor of Audio Production at University of San Francisco

I taught the basics audio production to undergraduate students, covering everything from Pro Tools Basics to interviewing skills to fundamentals of audio for film.

Mentor and Teacher in KALW Public Radio’s Audio Academy

I helped create curriculum for the internationally-renowned nine-month radio journalism training program for adults at KALW Public Radio, an NPR and BBC affiliate in San Francisco. This program is designed to give participants a professional audio production and journalism education, tuition-free. I taught weekly classes and mentored various participants throughout the course of their program experience.

…and more! I’ve lectured at middle schools and high schools, spoke at conferences and helped lead workshops for storytellers hoping to learn the basics of audio production to share stories from their communities. It’s been one of the greatest privileges of my career to work with so many people across the globe!
